Simply Red has had many alter egos and many realities

Before Simply Red became Simply Red, she was also known as Crazy Red
Before Crazy Red she was simply "Red"

This is the story of how simply "Red" became known around small Texas town as "Crazy Red".

Years ago, Red used to drive all over her small Texas town in her small red economy size car and in the back seat were always Red's two dogs, big Black dog and big Hairy dog.

Red and the dogs go everywhere together and the dogs they are very loyal to Red, not only because
she feeds them twice a day, or takes them all over small Texas town in back seat of small red economy size car, but also because she is very loyal
to them and will hide with them in closet when thunder storms come.  For while Red and dogs are all individually and collectively brave, they are all three terrified of thunder storms. 

One day while riding around small Texas town in little red economy size car with two giant
dogs in backseat, Red is at traffic light and sees an event taking place on the corner about four cars up from where
Red and dogs sit waiting for light to turn green.

A man is dragging a woman down the sidewalk by her hair and everynow and then he smack her hard across the face
and she is crying and trying to get away.  The man is yelling at the woman so loudly and she is screaming so loudly that Red can hear them over jacked up sound of car stereo.

Red grabs her cell phone and start dialing 9-1-1.  While talking to the 9-1-1 operator, Red also pulls into parking lot just
ahead of the man and the woman that he is now dragging down the sidewalk towards Red 's small  red economy size car .

Red look around to see if other people at stop light will also react but everyone is sitting in their cars
looking straight ahead.

By this time, big dogs in back seat are becoming very agitated, so Red grabs dogs by leashes, takes the dogs out
of the car and starts heading up sidewalk towards the man who Red now realizes is a lot taller and heavier set
 than Red had originally thought.  Red is a little concerned, but she is committed to course of action.

Red and the dogs continue up the sidewalk all the while big dogs going crazy on
the ends of their leashes, Red is screaming at the man "stop that mother fucker " and "you piece of shit mother fucker"
and all other manner of phrases leading Red to believe that maybe she has seen one too many Clint Eastwood movies
and perhaps  she is not as invincible as she seems to think she is.

Just as Red is about to set dogs loose, police show up and take the man down.  The man is yelling at the police to
tell that crazy redheaded woman to leave him alone, to get me away from him, because he is very fearful of dogs and
now crazy redheaded women.

Police ask Red to take dogs and get back in car, they tell her that they do not think she will have to go to the station, hope the man
won't press charges against Red for assault, and the whole time they are looking at Red with new respect and
a little fear.  Red does not normally look like crime busting super hero, but right now she does look a little crazy.

Minutes pass, eventually, man goes to jail, woman goes to hospital, and Red is allowed to go home.  Before she leaves, the Policeman
cautions Red about crime busting proclivities. Tells her that she could have been seriously hurt, the man could press charges, etc.....

Red is feeling chastened and agrees that perhaps she should give up crime busting as a hobby and stick with
being Middle Aged American housewife instead.

Later, that evening Cupcake informs Red that he had received a phone call from the small Texas town police chief who
is close personal friend of Cupcake.  Says that Red is very lucky the man did not press charges against Red for assault, cautions her that she needs to think before doing, not the otherway around, which is how Red usually operates.

Also tells Red that she has new name down at station house -  Crazy Red 

Nowadays, Crazy Red's hair not that red anymore, the big Black dog long since died and the big Hairy dog is now
fourteen years old and has bad hips. 

Crazy Red is no longer crazy
